I can't speak to the movie's quality, as I'm completely biased. We had this on VHS as one of our first purchases. I can recite every piece of dialog and sing every song. Childhood perfection.

I've been to the movie set which is built into the cliffs of Malta. It was one of the most surreal places I've ever visited and even featured, for some reason unbeknownst to me, a Santa's workshop themed walkthrough which was completely inanimate and in darkness. We left quite quickly.

I want a biopic origin story movie for Neil Breen where he's like a normal, down on his luck realtor, he spent his whole life working to be a great architect and the 2008 market crash just trashed his career. Then one day he just has a massive stroke in bed, or he's carrying some groceries for his elderly neighbor and falls down a flight of stairs, or even just gets hit in the head with a frisbee, and in an instant Neil Breen, the Actor/Writer/Director, is born.

I have 1 solid argument for perfect cartoon to live action casting: J K Simmons as J. Jonah in the Maguire Spiderman trilogy.

As far as this and Nothing But Trouble being similar goes, I think that everyone being stoned on set is the culprit on both occasions.

I remember watching this movie as a kid many times and hating it everytime. Now I know why.

Just discovered a movie that RLM really needs to see, "Baby Geniuses and the Treasures of Egypt". I had no idea they made more after the first Baby Geniuses, but I guess there is a bunch of them and get more ridiculous the more they made. This one almost seems like an homage to the Neil Breen style of film making with amount of terrible green screen backgrounds and effects. Also John Voight in brown face and a couple other racially insensitive outfits.

That fking insane fight scene says to me that Breen does indeed lack any self awareness and that his own actors that apparently get paid the going rate, are absolutely trolling him.

I unironically like this movie. Maybe is because i read the original strips or something, but somehow it fits for me. It's like it lowers the level of the animated cartos, to be more ·depression era" strips, with characters trying to live their lives. In fact, the worst part of it i the last 10 minutes when it tries to do a treasure adventure, and fails. It's true that is fragmented, like diferent stories using the same characters. But i think it suits how its presented.

They didn't need a spy on the set of the Annie movie, the stage musical version premièred in 76 and opened on Broadway in 77.

I like Rich as much as the next guy, but he was unbearable during this episode.

I have a pretty big soft spot for John Carpenter's Vampires. I think he blended the western aestetic into a vampire movie well. The second to last(?) episode of Stargate Atlantis has a whole alternate dimension story with an alien hiding as an Emo poker player in Vegas that reminds me of it.

I had this on beta as a kid and was absolutely in love. It's such a WEIRD fucking movie, but I love it.
